A friend asked me recently what I see in Grand Canyon. To look at it from the top is to see little more than a big ditch with a nice interpretive center. Hike inside and you see God's creation exposed. In that creation you'll see diamonds in the sky, and tiny points of exquisite beauty like delicate water. You'll see a grandeur that surpasses anything imaginable and if you'll only take your time and look at all the little things, the small creatures, the desert flowers, and the polished stones from centuries of wear, you'll see more than you thought possible. You'll see history exposed by time and violent waters. You'll see something truly grand.
