Comment on Othello
Othello's lines in which he says to Desdemona just before killing her: "Has Desdemona pray'd tonight?" are an indescribably moving and horrible form of insanity. He doesn't say, "you" but speaks as a mother or father would speak to a child: Has Wendy done this or that? They are masterful lines. It reminds me of some of Stephen King's lines for Jack Torrence in The Shining.
