Are you better off?

Well, are you better off? I sometimes think that certain people just want to send us back to the stone age. Costs and debt have increased and income has decreased. Now, the government gets it's tax base from the income of the people right? If that's going down, then it will take even longer to pay for the debt we (and our children) are now saddled with. And quite frankly, I would rather buy gas from a foreign country than pay off a loan to a foreign country. At the end of the day we shouldn't have to do either one! That's the record!

The price of gas was definitely not $1.84 per gallon. If this is a lie, how can I believe the other stuff?

Dec. 26, 2008—Gas prices tumble to $1.64 a gallon. Some areas seeing prices as low as $1.45 a gallon. Crude oil is just a little over $40 a barrel still.
