Several people I know refuse God and the love he offers because they blame him for their problems, for their work situation or illness, or they blame him for their financial mess and people like Madoff who caused it for others. How could God permit the loss of a child? I like what Larry Crabb says about God. "The route to God never takes us around our problems." Our lives are what they are; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Crabb says we will never find God by denying who we are and where we've been. I like Psalm 116:10. I kept my faith, even when I said, "I am greatly afflicted."
