A man's whole life is secularized, his every thought from morning until evening, his waking and dreaming. In addition, he is of course a Christian, for he lives in this kind of "boutique" church. And in the capacity of being a Christian he is "a stranger and exile in this world." You might say this is like native savages from some far off island making themselves elegant with a single piece of clothing from Nordstroms.
