It was Fred Thompson, the new 1994 Senator from Tennessee who arrived in Washington with shock. He said, "I've still got a lot to learn about Washington. Why, yesterday I accidentally spent some of my own money."
A politician is someone who only cares about the next election. A patriot is someone who cares about the next generation.
