Waterton Canyon closing

Waterton Canyon is now closed for the next 18 months. Denver Water is dredging out the Strontia Springs reservoir (pictured below) to maintain water quality and remove sediment which has accumulated from all the forest fires in recent years. I think someone from the City was hiking in the area and was sure the water was polluted because he heard a fish cough. Actually, it's probably a good thing but I will miss biking up the canyon and photographing the wildlife for you.
